Good Karma, Good News

Our new best friends at Karma Drums were one of the first to blog about our Touring Band’s Guide. This is one great web site for all things drumming. Click HERE to give them a rim shot. (Sorry ;-) .

Best looking exhibit at the show?

We like to think ours is the nicest booth on the floor, but we’re biased. – Front & center are our natural marino wool guitar straps, showing three new prototypes (blue pinstripe, red pinstripe & nutmeg beige), along with the finest in leather and fabric bags for guitar, drum and band instrument lovers.

The gent to the right is watching the Reunion Blues training film on one of those cool video glasses. Every blue-badged buyer who watches this video gets a free $237 Reunion Blues attache bag! – Watch for new testimonial videos (like those on the home page of our web site) – coming soon!

Welcome to Winter NAMM 2009

Greetings from the Anaheim NAMM show!

It’s Alan, Brett, Dave, Tim and myself running two exhibits and stretched as thin as air… but loving every minute. I’ll do my level best to post some new photos DURING the show. If that’s not possible, you will certainly be getting new product info and videos soon after.

Stay tuned.

NAMM Show “Must See”

Reunion Blues dealers already know about our stellar reputation for dealer support. This year, our exhibit at the Anaheim NAMM show will include a free leather attache bag for every blue-badged buyer who watches our training video. RB dealers will also see a sample of our Vintage Guitars Road Show video, and have the opportunity to sign up for their very own in-store event.

Premier Guitar Magazine is co-sponsoring these events, and participating dealers are benefiting from the free publicity. To see the first Vintage Guitars Road Show videos, click HERE.

RB Touring Bands Guide is Growing!

I was googling Reunion Blues this evening and up popped 2 new photos, right up front, featuring 2 more music groups who have joined the RB Touring Bands Guide. A special Reunion Blues welcome goes out to the Jive-o-Matics and Nemesys!

You can see their web sites and also promote your own band, free, simply by clicking HERE.

Listen in!

Came across this very cool conversation on the Banjo Hangout blog. It’s fun to be a fly on the wall when people with true passion for their instruments start sharing the love.

Reunion Blues by Oscar Peterson

As jazz piano players go, I think Oscar Peterson is in the all-time top 10, right up there with Monk, Waller and Tatum. I also think his Reunion Blues LP cover is one of the most memorable. Lots of people think this is where the Reunion Blues gig bag brand name came from. What do YOU think?

If you want to hear a sample of this great tune (or buy the LP), click on the image.

Vintage Guitars Road Show – Part 4 is Running!

Premier Guitar Magazine has it up and running right now.

Highlights include:

  • A super-clean Valley Arts Custom Shop Robert Johnson commemorative acoustic guitar from 1995, complete with Robert Johnson accessories and documentation
  • A pre-war Gibson acoustic that, despite being heavily modified and bearing the scars of its age, is still appraised in the low thousands
  • A 1968 Framus 5/103 Romanze teardrop acoustic
  • The first look at the original production prototype of the Peavey T60 from 1977.
