Whodathunk it? But here’s the living proof. This is Noah Mackey of Indianapolis punk rock band The Involuntarys tearing it up in a Reunion Blues Merino Wool/Leather black and white pinstripe guitar strap. When we first introduced the world’s most comfortable guitar strap a few years ago we really thought that the black and white pinstripe design was going to be most popular with jazz and classical players but it turns out that even punk rockers and indie bands like an occasional touch of pinstriped panache! Noah says the the strap’s leather ends still smell delicious and are so thick and rigid that no straplocks are needed! To hear some serious, stripped down, old school, hardcore, midwestern punk rock and find out more about The Involuntarys visit their Facebook page or their website.
Keep on rockin’ in style and comfort Noah…
I’ve been really enjoying the new Warpaint record over the last several weeks and was pleased to stumble across a photo of bassist Jenny Lee Lindberg wearing one of our über-comfortable and pinstriped merino wool guitar straps.
If you get a chance to check out “the Fool” I highly recommend it. The band is touring the US and Europe over the next few months so if they’re in town the live show is not to be missed! (If you’re interested in where you can find one of those sexy straps, click “How to Buy” from the Reunion Blues front page.)
So last weekend I was playing my friends Danelectro and I got to finally use one our new Merino Wool guitar straps. From what I have been told by both Brett and Dave, these Merino Wool straps have been selling like hot cakes. (What are hot cakes anyway?)
After playing last weekend with the strap I totally understand why these are flying off the shelves. Honestly, it was the most comfortable strap that I have ever used. Don’t let the Merino Wool thing get to you either, they’re not itchy. The full genuine leather tabs on either end also means you don’t have to worry about your heavy guitar tearing through it.
Right now these straps are only available in black, brown, and white pinstripe. However, Dave and I have just recently come up with new designs that should pique your interest even more. We got some samples of these in and they look awesome. Lets just say that after Winter NAMM in January your strap collection is going to have some attitude added to it.
All right, time for me to get back to work (if I must, sigh). In the mean time happy playing and happy holidays.
I was talking to a friend at NAMM last year about how his heavy Les Paul was hurting his neck and shoulder during his performances; playing 3 hours a night for 4 nights a week. He described it as bearable but the thing that really annoyed him was the fact that his vinyl strap was seriously uncomfortable. This wasn’t the first time we’ve heard a complaint or two about comfort during a 20 minute rendition of Led Zeppelin’s Moby Dick so we decided to create a superior and ultra comfortable guitar strap.
Introducing the Merino Wool Guitar Strap from Reunion Blues. This delightful companion is made of Merino Wool, one of the softest materials we could find just short of having your roadie (Francis) encapsulate you in pillows while you play! It’s also natural fiber, biodegradable and is trimmed with full grain leather. The straps are selling very well (will we sell out of inventory? who knows!) Anyway, we saved a special reserve for you, talented reader, just by leaving a comment below of why you might want one of these straps for yourself. So go for it! Free straps to the first 40 commenters!Best,
John Maher
Trent Reznor has created a mind-blowing, technology-enhanced stage presentation with the help of a massive computer controlled lighting rig and the addition of several light sensitive LED mesh curtains that add an incredible visual element to the intense and energetic show NIN are known to deliver. If this sounds too much like science fiction, Reznor would agree; but when the stage is completely obscured by digital static which is then peeled away to reveal the band performing one of the instrumental tracks from the recent Ghosts record, it is difficult to avoid the hyperbole that this is, quite possibly, “the coolest thing you have ever seen”.
You can check out some of the clips on youtube, and if NIN is going to be anywhere within a few hundred miles of you, don’t miss it.
