"When traveling with the band to play shows for the the now defunct Nashville New Music Conference (2NMC) we played a venue called Shirley Street Station. It was newly opened at the time, and renovations were being done. The sound was great, though they only had a PA system and the bands were required to turn up their amps to fill out the sound in the room. The owner was such a nice fellow that we spent hours outside talking to him while standing there with loads of our gear. When the night came to a close, he actually ran 2 blocks at full speed to chase down a passing taxi so we could have a ride back to our hotel. Gotta love a club owner who will go out of his way to take care of bands!"
Bars & Nightlife

"One of the best kept open secrets of Nashville. If you're lucky, you can catch some of the nations hottest blues bands there as it was home to Stacy Mitchart and the Blues You Can Use Band and on some nights you can see up and coming blues rocker Anothony Gomes there as well. These are acts not to be missed by any means. Upon either act playing, the crowd is on their feet singing and dancing to the music, as you'd expect to see in a movie. The staff is super nice as we got to know some of them personally during our stay and the food is to die for. They make a catfish fillet that melts in your mouth, the perfect compliment to a night of good 'ol down home blues."
This is one of the few places to buy a alcohol because of restrictive liquor laws in Nashville.

Shirley Street Station
"I myself have been to Nashville many times both with and without the band. Nasville's Printer's Alley
Another superb place to catch great blues and jazz is right down Nasville's Printer's Alley, where there are tons of clubs lining the one street. Known as Nash-vegas and Music City USA, the taxi's sport the Music City USA logo on the car doors and even the cab drivers themselves are musicians who will happily play their demo CDs for you during your short cab rides....but back to Printer's Alley. Printers Alley hosts a fantastic Club/grill called The Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar. One of the best kept open secrets of Nashville. If you're lucky, you can catch some of the nations hottest blues bands there as it was home to Stacy Mitchart and the Blues You Can Use Band and on some nights you can see up and coming blues rocker Anothony Gomes there as well.
