New Orleans
From Reunion Blues Tour Guide
"There's a difference between the blues of the New Orleans guys and anyone else and the difference is in a chord, but I can't figure the name of it. It's a different chord, and they all make it."--Jimmy Rushing

Stuff to Do
For under $200 a night, enjoy this charming hotel located close to the French Quarter. The hotel lobby stuns with its magnificent chandeliers and one of a kind antiques. Le Pavillon Hotel is known for their peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every night at 10pm. The chef also prepares fresh fruit, hot chocolate and other treats.
Your destination for voodoo paraphernalia. Marie Laveau's House of Voodoo is a treasure trove of charms, totems, books and trinkets; Marie Laveau is the most popular, well-known Voodoo priestess known in New Orleans. It has been said that Marie has never died but changed herself into a large black crow that flies over a near by cemetery.
This museum illuminates the history of D-Day. Be sure to allocate a couple hours to puruse through the exhibits, watch the very short documentaries, the recorded first person accounts and talk to the veterans who volunteer at the museum.
Dining
Jacques is known for their alligator cheesecakes and cornbread. Located on Oak Street, Jacques is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. Some favorites: bacon wrapped fried oysters, fois gras stuffed quail and Carpet-Begger Steak.

"Cafe Du Monde's famous beignets (fried fritters filled with fruit and covered in powdered sugar) are a cult classic- their DIY mix is just not substitute. Compliment your beignet with their cafe au lait and enjoy the sound of the jazz bands playing in the French Quarter."

New Orlean's best, authentic, Po'Boy sandwich stop! Domillise is family owned and one of the oldest, well known establishments in the area. Try their Roast Beef Po'Boy or Shrimp/Oyster Half and Half Po'Boy.
