This is a safe haven for young people, and has a focus on making music. It's an old theater that's been converted into a place for the rockers to jam, learn how to operate equipment, learn to play music and be with others of the same ilk. Inside, there's live performances and a mini skateboard park. You really have to see it to believe it. Petaluma is right off the 101 about 45 minutes north of San Francisco. The Phoenix is at Washington and about 5th street.
